• First Saturday Art Class: Build-a-Bird

Create a bird and habitat at the April First Saturday Art Class. In partnership with the Waimea Arts Council, Thelma Parker Memorial Public Library presents Build-A-Bird! with artist Lorrie Taylor on April 4 from 10 am to noon in the library. In this class, beginning artists 6+ will create their own bird and habitat using a selection of supplies, some bird knowledge, and their creativity. All materials provided by the Waimea Arts Council. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. This class is presented as part of the library’s Flight Path grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. The Flight Path campaign is focused on how communities can observe and protect local and migratory birds, especially during peak migration periods. Class size is limited and advance registration at the library for each class is required. To register, or for more info, call 808-887-6067.
