During the month of November the Firehouse Gallery will feature Big Island landscapes. This will include areas all over the island, such as Akaka Falls, Mauna Kea, Kilauea volcano, the dry forest area with their Wiliwili trees, the green pastures of Waimea and North Kohala, valleys like Waipio and Pololu, and the towns of Kona and Hilo. All artwork is done by members of the Waimea Arts Council and will include photographs, drawings and sculpture, as well as paintings in watercolor, oil, acrylic or mixed media.
At the same time the back gallery area continues our Affordable Art Show and sale. It’s a perfect opportunity to purchase art for the holidays with a wide range of products from small cards to original paintings, photography and jewelry. All items are priced from $2.50 to $250. This show will continue through November in the Back Gallery and December in the Front Gallery.
