MARCH IS YOUTH ART MONTH – and the Waimea Arts Council is inviting students in Grade Levels 6 through 12 only, in schools or home-schooled, throughout the North and South Kohala and Hamakua districts, to submit works of art to be juried and displayed at the Firehouse Gallery, March 4 through 21, 2015. All entries must be submitted on or before Feb. 28, 2015 at 3 pm. The winners will be announced in the media on Monday, March 2nd. The public is invited to attend a Reception and awards ceremony for the young artists and their families on SUNDAY MARCH 8, 2015, 3 – 5 PM at the Gallery.
