Pen and Wash Illustrations by Chris Kutler

01/15/2020

15 Jan

BACK GALLERY (Feb. 1st – Feb. 28th, 2020)

During the month of February, Chris Kutler will display several of her quirky pen and wash illustrations, which depict well known places around the island. Chris enjoys traveling around the island and drawing the scenes that she visits in ink. She then applies three layers of ink washes, each increasing in value, to highlight the shadows and give depth of field. Next comes the watercolor washes using combinations of the primary colors. Her last step is to use a fine ink pen to provide hash marks for texture.
