Call for Island Artists
The Waimea Arts Council is pleased to invite island artists to participate in the eagerly anticipated Juried Fine Art Show, “Portal 3”, hosted at the iconic Firehouse Gallery this August and September. This year’s captivating theme is “Portal,” designed to ignite creativity and encourage artists to explore new realms within their artistry.
With cash awards exceeding $1,000 in value, the “Portal3” Juried Fine Art Show offers an exciting platform for artists to showcase their talents and compete for recognition. An exceptional opportunity awaits, as the State Foundation for Culture and the Arts will also grace the event with their presence, seeking to acquire art for the esteemed Hawaii State Museum collection.
The call for submissions welcomes emerging and established artists to engage with the theme “Portal.” Juror Lisa Solomine will look for originality, creativity, technical skill, and the artwork’s ability to represent the theme of “PORTAL.”
For full details on entry rules and eligibility criteria, we kindly urge artists to carefully peruse the comprehensive prospectus, accessible by clicking here.
The “Portal” Juried Fine Art Show is an exhibition and a chance for artists to embark on a creative journey beyond conventional horizons. With the historic Firehouse Gallery as its backdrop, this event promises to be an artistic spectacle that transcends boundaries and welcomes new possibilities.
